September 13 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
Join Peterson Voices to proactively take control or your ability to speak and communicate! The group, led by Carrie Friddell from In Harmony Music of Middle Tennessee meets weekly at Franklin First United Methodist Church.
Recent research in the fields of Neuroscience, Speech and Language Therapy, and Parkinson’s Disease has shown that joining a singing group many help strengthen one’s speaking voice to be louder and clearer. Singing may help people diagnosed with Parkinson’s to speak better, engage in an enjoyable activity, and help with feelings of depression.
No previous musical experience required! For any adult diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Class includes:
- Breathing Techniques
- Vocal Exercises
- Rhythmic Movement
